Who we are

AC Guttering is a gutter cleaning, repair and exterior cleaning business based in Lowestoft, Suffolk. We are responsible for the personal details you give us. You can contact us about this policy at info@acguttering.co.uk or on 01502 588511.

What we collect

• When you ask for a quote on this website: your name, phone number, email address, address and postcode, the service you want, details of your property, your preferred date and time, and your message. We also record your internet (IP) address, only to stop spam and repeated automatic submissions.
• When you contact us by Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, email or phone: your name, contact details and whatever you send us, such as your type of house, your address and photos.
• When we do work for you: the jobs, visits, quotes, invoices and payments for your property.

How we use it

• To reply to you, look at your property and give you a price, because you asked us to.
• To arrange and carry out the work, invoice you and take payment, as part of our agreement with you.
• To remind you when a regular service you have with us is due.
• To keep the business and tax records the law requires.

We do not sell your details, we do not add you to marketing lists, and we do not send you advertising.

Who else sees it

Only AC Guttering uses your details. We rely on a few companies to run our systems, and they handle your details only to provide that service to us:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and our customer records.
• Microsoft 365, for our email and diary.
• Resend, which delivers the emails this website sends when you ask for a quote.
• Meta (Facebook and WhatsApp), when you choose to message us there. Meta also uses those conversations under its own privacy policy.

Some of these companies may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry does not lead to any work, we keep it for up to two years in case you come back to us, then delete it. If we do work for you, we keep your customer, job and invoice records for six years after the last job, as HMRC requires.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not follow you across other websites.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them or stop using them. Email info@acguttering.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
